Our technicians come to your facility with all of the packaging and documentation necessary to take a chemical inventory and safely repackage compatible chemicals from smaller containers into larger DOT-approved shipping containers. Specialists then label the containers, prepare the manifests (documents) for shipment, and ultimately remove these unsafe chemicals from your facility – adhereing to strict federal, state, and DOT mandates.

Lab moving / Relocation Services

Whether one laboratory or an entire research building needs to be moved across the state or further, Terrabella Environmental Services ensure the move is completed quickly, efficiently, and in full compliance with all federal, state, and international regulations.  Our dedicated technical staff package the chemicals  to be moved, in the same manner as chemicals intended for disposal, following the same regulations and adhering to the same health and safety procedures.

Chemicals may be packaged separately, by location or room number, to ensure that they are delivered to the appropriate location and to make unpacking easier.  Terrabella will unpack the chemicals, if requested, or leave the containers on site to be unpacked at a later date and return for the packing materials.

All materials required for a seemless and successful move are supplied.  Chemicals are packaged in DOT or TDG approved containers using special cushioning material to minimize the risk of damaged materials during transport.  Coolers are used, when necessary, to keep refrigerated items cold.  In addition, refrigerated transport can be arranged for large volumes of temperature sensitive materials.

We are proud to offer moving and delivery of complicated equipment, such as refrigerators and cylinder stations, as they often require extensive coordination between the customer’s environmental health and safety staff, moving companies, and Terrabella.
